IDEAS' formal sector work 2008-9

Over the next year, IDEAS members will be reviewing and redrafting our Global Dimension Strategy, the overall aim of which is to:

"fulfill the entitlement of young people in Scotland to a global education, empowering them to act as responsible global citizens, able and comitted to shaping the world of the future in the interests of all".

It's not a modest aim, but it's one worth aspiring to, we think! To that end we really would welcome your input, thoughts and advice over the next year (and beyond), especially in terms of how IDEAS and its members can support the development of the global dimension in formal sector initiatives and strategies.

By April 2009, we hope to have a redrafted strategy which will take us all the way to 2014, and guide our members' engagement with local authorities, schools and teachers. Do get in touch if you'd like to help us in this process!
