The IDEAS 'Taking a Global Approach to Initial Teacher Education' 3rd annual conference will be held this year on Thursday 19 August 2010 at the Stirling Management Centre

• Meet other ITE practitioners with a committment to incorporating Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development in their teaching and share innovative approaches.
• Discuss the implications for Scottish Education of the new IDEAS publication 'Education in a Global Space: Emerging Research and Practice in Initial Teacher Education'.
• Find out how you can play a role in the future development of Global Learning within ITE through the Global Learning Project, a new statutory-voluntary sector partnership working to enhance the provision of Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development across all the formal education sectors in Scotland.

• Consider the nature of the true shift required in perceptions of the teacher's role for Global Learning to become truly embedded.
