First Steps to Lasting Change - Global Citizenship in the Early Years (Coatbridge)

A professional development day which will explore how global citizenship can enhance the implementation of curriculum for excellence in a creative and innovative way.
Who should attend?
All those with responsibility for Early Years education, including managers, practitioners and local authority staff.
The day will include:
- 2 participatory workshops which will give you the opportunity to:
- explore what global citizenship is; why it matters and its relevance to Early Years education;
- identify what you are already doing in relation to global citizenship;
- try out practical ideas to develop global citizensip in the Early Years curriculum.
- The opportunity to browse a multimedia exhibition of resources (teaching packs, books, CD Rom and online) to support global citizenship.
- Time and space to share ideas and issues with colleagues and others.
Numbers are limited so early booking is recommended.
Cost is £95 per participant (£75 if you register before 6 October).
The Early Years Conference will be held at the Conforti Institute in Coatbridge.
