Partnership Fair

Due to the significant success of the previous edition of the TRIALOG Partnership Fair held in October 2006, when many of the later EC-funded development education projects under Non State Actors and Local Authorities line were conceived, TRIALOG in partnership with DEEEP and CONCORD will host the second edition of this event.

The partnership fair is a learning, networking and project-designing event, gathering more than 150 participants mainly from development CSOs from across Europe coming from different sectors (development education, human rights, environment, gender etc). The Partnership Fair facilitates partnerships, cooperation, learning and exchange at an international level for joint projects for development. Many key development actors (representatives of the EC, universities, local authorities, and trade unions) will contribute either as speakers, facilitators or participants.

The learning process will be achieved through expert panel discussions and workshops on:

a) relevant calls for proposals (NSA-LA development education and awareness raising, Investing in People, EIDHR);

b) designing and implementing strong development education and development cooperation projects;

c) co-funding mechanisms;

d) effective work in partnership.

The networking will happen through the market place, a set up where all the participants will have the opportunity to present their organisations (activities, vision, future project plans etc) as well as through numerous formal and informal spaces for dialogue among all the different stakeholders.

The concrete activity of project design and planning will be framed by the open space methodology, an innovative tool that allows with great flexibility planning, organizing and reflecting in smaller or bigger groups as decided and formed in place by the participants.
