Action and Ideas Training Day

A training day for Community Educators and Youth Workers entitled 'Action and Ideas' was held on 1 May 2007 at Glasgow University's Woolfson Medical Building. The day provided the opportunity for individuals to explore a range of global education resources and tools for use in community settings.

Workshops included:
* Worldwise –World Development Movement Scotland’s active global citizenship programme for adults
* One Globe, Many connections – how do we make links between our lives and others across the globe
* Conflict Resolution – how do people learn to deal with violence and conflict in a violent world
* Which Way Forward – using the Development Compass Rose as a tool for group enquiry
* Training for Transformation – examining the Training for Transformation model
* Sustaining the Activist – Why do people get involved and what keeps them involved in community action?
