Christian Aid launches refugee resource

Christian Aid has just launched a new resource for schools to help pupils to think about the challenges and choices facing refugees.

For the past few years, news headlines have been dominated by stories of conflict and the people who are fleeing from fighting and seeking refuge.

There has also been lots of debate about what the political response should be to the refugee crisis in Europe and beyond. Christian Aid believes that all people, including refugees, should be safe and looked-after.

Using a ludo-style game, pupils are placed in the situation of a refugee and given choices about what they would take with them, then start on a journey during which they face difficulties or receive helping hands.

Developed for Christian Aid Week 2017 (14-20 May), the new resource is online here: http://learn.christianaid.org.uk/TeachersResources/primary/christian-aid-week-2017-safe-place-to-call-home.aspx
