IDEAS has been a key contributor to the development of Scotland’s strong policy context for education for global citizenship. The key elements of this context are outlined in our Policy section.

On Oct 4th 2018, IDEAS' members gathered for an event at Scottish Parliament sponsored by Ross Greer MSP, titled 'Equity and Excellence through LfS'. With guest speakers including pupils from St. John's Academy and Carnoustie High, our focus was on the vital role of Learning for Sustainability in closing the poverty-related attainment gap.

It is very important to IDEAS to keep exploring what difference global citizenship education makes in schools, to teachers and school leaders, children and young people, parents and communities.
