  • Assessor Role - 2.5 days

IDEAS are looking for three people to sit on the selection panel for the DFID Development Awareness Fund Mini-Grants. A strong background in Development Education with knowledge of project planning and funding is essential.

People who are not connected to any new or on-going Mini-Grant applications are preferred.

The deadline for applications to the fund is Friday 30 October. The date of the assessment panel meeting is Tuesday 8 December, 10.30am-4.00pm, in the IDEAS office, Edinburgh. There is a stipend of £150 a day - one for the day of the panel meeting plus another day for looking at applications, travel expenses will also be reimbursed.

Applications will be sent to panellists to review at the mid November.

  • Treasurer position

We are currently have a Trustee position on the IDEAS Executive Committee for the role of Treasurer. As well as bearing all the general responsibilities of a voluntary management committee officer/trustee/director, the Treasurer is the person specifically entrusted with the funds of the organisation. IDEAS employs paid staff to deal with the day-to-day financial business.

The Executive Committee every 3 months with sometime required between meetings. If you are interested in this role please see the attached job description.

  • Volunteer fundraising opportunity

We are currently looking for a fundraising volunteer. This role would include:-

• Research funding opportunities (UK, EU, other funding), criteria and deadlines;
• Prepare fundraising applications and other support materials;
• Liaise with IDEAS Treasurer/Executive Committee and Administrator on funding applications;
